Position Available: Full Time Lawn Care Applicator Position Open Date 01/12/12 position close Date 02/14/12
Duties include: Operation of small tanker truck including daily inspection of vehicle and equipment. Navigation of a route throughout the county. Application of fertilizers and pesticides to customers property. Experience is a plus, having an applicators license is also helpful. We currently operate 3 license category's A3 is turf and ornamental, A18 is Golf Course, and A 20 is Sports Turf. May include some seeding and aerations, fertilizer mixing, marketing, lawn measurements. Use of GPS devices is helpful, as well as an understanding of weather, anemometers and thermometers. Must also have the ability to read product labels and MSDS sheets. Honesty and integrity are the most valuable traits. You can have all the qualifications in the world and be the most dishonest person or you can have nothing and be the hardest working sharpest tool in the shed. Will be required to be on your feet for long periods and will be asked to lift fifty pounds repeatably on occasion.
Qualifications:
Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record
Must Pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally allowed to work in the United States
Must disclose any criminal history
Must have acquired a high school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must posses or be able to obtain KY dept of Agriculture Chemical applicators license (Will train the right person)
Compensation: Experienced Applicators may earn $8.00 to $12.00 per hour plus commission Depending on experience. 1 week paid vacation after the first year, two weeks on the second year.(is conditional to Cgreen's needs and timing. Paid Holidays, Thanks Giving, (Black Friday or Veterans Day) , Independence Day, Memorial Day, and Labor day. If we are still working at Christmas and New Years we will pay. Usually we will finish the Season by December 15, and the employees will receive Unemployment Until Feb, 15. We will provide occasional bonus's for Christmas and for great performance.
